Erik P. Johnson
Pharmacist • Owner
Erik’s first job was as a clerk at a pharmacy in Attleboro while he was in high school. Growing up with a father as a doctor, he knew the importance that medicine plays in people’s health and wellness. He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, and has worked for a variety of pharmacy chains and hospitals.
Erik lives in Attleboro with his wife and two daughters.
Richard K. Ploude
Pharmacist • Owner
Rich first became interested in becoming a pharmacist because of his younger brother, who needed a lot of prescriptions when he was a kid. His earliest job was clerking at the former Mulhern’s Pharmacy in downtown Taunton. In 1994, he graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. Prior to founding Anawan, he worked as director of pharmacy for West River Pharm in Marlboro, and as a full-time pharmacist at locations such as CVS, Stop & Shop, and Eckerd Drug.
Rich lives in Taunton with his wife Kelley, three daughters Olivia, Sarah and Rose and their two dogs Lola and Cooper. His family also started a memorial fund in honor of their son Brett who passed away in 2015, to help shed light on depression and suicide in children and teens.
